Perfect spot on the sea. Clean, spacious room, great pool and amenities. The most pleasant and helpful staff of any Mexico vacation that I have been on!

What we loved: We had a large room with a separate living area with mini kitchen and a bedroom. The balcony had beautiful views of the ocean. The property has direct access to the beach with bathrooms and showers for guests. There are two large swimming pools with food and drink services. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. The air conditioning was excellent. What we didn't like: There is a bar on beach to the south side of the property that was somewhat noisy with amplified contests for best bikini, etc. during the day and VERY LOUD during weekend evenings until well after 10pm. They have a "DJ" by the pool on weekends, and the volume was excessively loud and obnoxious for those of us who just want quiet. They sell "day access" passes to cruise passengers, and on the days that cruise ships were in port, finding a lounge chair by the pool could be very difficult, and there were a lot of kids and families using the pool which made it crowded, noisy, and less than restful.

Beautiful location and Hotel. maybe a little understaffed at times. My only complaint was the poor WiFi service.

We had a Junior suite on the second floor and it was extremely spacious for 2 people. It had a kitchenette, separate dining area and seating area in the suite. A room wide, 3-panel sliding door accessed a large covered patio with views of the bay and ocean liners that called on the port. The resort was quiet and relaxing with well prepared meals or pizza on site. Bell hop staff recorded our arrival and departure in any taxi, shuttle, or Uber vehicle, which would help recover any items left behind on a trip. The pool staff was on the spot to move chairs or umbrellas as needed to take advantage of the best sun/shade needs. Easy to relax at the 2 pools, hot tub, and order chair side beverages or meals with attentive staff. The hotel had its own reserved beach with access to a safe swimming area - but there were still plenty of vendors offering their wares for purchase. 15-20 minute walk to the marina, shopping centers, and Walmart. Felt like the resort was centrally located for all activities. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: The resort has two pools and a private beach for guests. It is close to the marina and town. We walked to numerous off-resort restaurants that were between 5 minutes and 25 minutes walking distance. The staff is friendly. The room we stayed in was large with a separate bedroom, kitchenette, and a balcony. Cons: The absolute biggest negative was the rock hard bed! I have slept on firm hotel beds before, but this one was the worst ever. It really was like sleeping on a concrete slab! My wife and I tossed and turned trying to get comfortable and woke up every morning with a back ache. If you don’t like an extremely firm mattress I would not recommend staying here. The junior suite room description on Expedia said it was an “ocean view.” When checking in I inquired if the room we were assigned to had a view and the front desk clerk said junior rooms only have “partial views.” The view from our second floor balcony was mostly of the pool with a disappointing “tiny slice” of a bay view. The main room air conditioner constantly rattled, even on low speed. Low speed did not work on the air conditioner in the bedroom. The main room television screen had eight large bright white dots on it - obviously needs to be replaced. The coffee machine in the room is obsolete and needs to be replaced. And after you use the one complimentary coffee packet you are charged. I just walked to the hotel’s coffee shop for my morning jo. The two on-site restaurants offered few gluten free options.

completely amazing accommodations!

This hotel is gorgeous! This was our second time staying here and we are already planning our next stay. It is close to the Marina and an easy walk. In close proximity to many incredible restaurants and shops. The staff at Casa Dorado are pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic stay. We had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and incredible helpful. Perfect location. Amazing views. Pool was fun. Beach loungers nice plus. Would stay again.
