The staff at the hotel were so kind and went out of their way to answer our questions about our first time visit to the South Island. Rooms were spacious and clean though the style is a little older. Lots of parking onsite

This place is run down and in dire need of some attention. Power points in room didn’t work and had to go to reception to get them to reset the circuit for my room. Major hot water issues in the shower. Temp went from boiling (dangerous) to freezing cold in seconds. Couldn’t stay in for safety reasons. Hopefully they fix this as has been mentioned many times in reviews. Tv could not get live TV channels and only had a steaming service. My advise is pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.

great location. Near the town and close to the water. Great view.

The price was good, the rooms were nice and large. Rooms and hotel in general are older, but in reasonable condition. Not really soundproof, as it was at times quite noisy from the hall or adjacent rooms. Fine for a short stay. Apparently, there is a restaurant on site, but only open depending on the number of guests staying at the hotel. Not to matter, plenty of dining options in town.

Freeview not loading. No written instruction in room. Very noisy fan in bathroom - no quiet midnight visits to bathroom

Room was clean and had everything we needed. Basic and amenities are tired as is the whole complex but it was very affordable. Staff were nice. Te Anau is beautiful, peaceful place to visit.

Good location. Spacious room. Property is dated and run-down and had a leak in the bathroom. Dishcleaning soap and cloths, extra cutlery and a toaster would be useful additions.

The room was ok, clean and bed was comfortable but the radiator needs fixing. No heat on the second day and we were told "we didn't have hot water for the radiator" The Hotel looks to be from the 1970s and not much maintenance appears to have been done since. Car parks are potholed and reception looks tired. The room for this hotel didn't compare to what we got elsewhere for similar cost. Not one to recommend.

Very comfortable stay good location

It was a fine place to stay . Because of its overall architecture they should explore the idea of making far more mid century . Its a good look and could be achieved quite easily and cheaply .
