As you probably know, this hotel stiffed us on our reservation; they sent a welcoming email the day before our arrival, but we discovered they had canceled our reservation the day we departed for San Francisco Dash and we had to quickly find a new booking in the Bay Area

If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. It was fine. No tv in the room and sort of community things like a fridge and air fryer were weird. The location was good and the staff was very nice and helpful. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and shower, if does the job.

Terrible. No staff working. I arrived to check in around 4 PM for my reservation, and could not get in. The front doors of the hotel were locked. After a few minutes i was let in by a person who was staying there. He stated that he barely has seen any employees since checking in, and that multiple other people also encountered this problem. Upon walking into the lobby, another family was sitting on a couch trying to figure out what to do, as they also were unable to check in. The front desk was empty. There was a paper with a phone number to call for help at the desk, so we called it from multiple phones, as well as the other family that was waiting from their phones, however nobody answered. After waiting for over an hour, we decided to leave and rebook a new hotel. It has now been 3 weeks since our stay and we still have been unable to be refunded for the reservation we never were able to check in for, for the room which we never got to see. Superhero hotel is ignoring the refund request, and despite four attempts to contact Expedia for support over the past three weeks, Expedia support keeps stalling and says to wait for the hotel to reply to the refund request. They say they have called and emailed, and the hotel is not responding to them. Shocker, they did not to me either. My next steps will be to dispute through my bank, although i am hoping that Expedia will back up its customer and do the right thing before it gets to that point. Do not stay here.

Good location, but the room I was originally supposed to stay in was canceled, and though they gave me a discount on a downgrade, it was dirty. Sheets and walls were stained, the bathroom was covered in dirt, everything had a layer of dust, and there was no TV or even a full-length mirror to get ready in front of. The only fridge is a shared one for the entire hotel, and it has not been cleaned. It literally smelled like rotten food. The online photos are lies, and the rooms look nothing like them. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

Terrible communication. When we arrived, we were told that our room had been cancelled due to overbooking. They were unable to provide us any resources to find a new hotel in which we knew DAY OF that are booking was cancelled. The front desk was unhelpful and they told us that there were people who did not arrive for their rooms but couldn't give it to us because they might arrive. They hadnt arrived after 2 days!!!! Ridiculous and they should have communicated about cancelled bookings prior to our arrival.

Smell is horrible

They never sent me an email saying my reservation I had booked 2 months in advance was canceled. I get there and they’re overbooked so I have no room in the hotel, the manager was on unapproved leave out of the country so some random guy who had no title but knew the manager came and basically told me they will issue a refund, and good luck. This was around when the World Cup events were going on in San Francisco so virtually every decent hotel was booked and I ended having to stay in this run down hotel about a mile away filled with drug addicts and drug dealers. They also did not issue my refund at all that day I had to go back to the hotel in person THREE DAYS LATER because nobody answers the phone to make them issue my refund in front of me before I left the property. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

Cancelled one of my nights without warning. Promised a refund and still haven’t got it. Been hard to get in contact with management. You can hear people walking and talking in the hallways of my room
