What an exceptional stay! It was perfect! Authentically French! Richard and Sophie have updated this chateau to a warm, cozy and inviting accommodation, paying attention to every detail. From the beautiful landscape and the history of the home to the home grown gardens to the charming pets, large and small, it just does not get any better. Richard is the perfect host from a exquisite French breakfast every morning, then helping us to plan our day and generously making the perfect dinner reservations at a variety of local bistros and restaurants that they frequent themselves, he was so generous with his hospitality and vivacious enthusiasm everyday!! We stayed for 4 nights and our entire stay was authentic in every way. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable, charming and cozy. We hope to return someday soon!! Thank you Richard for truly making our visit to the Loire better than we could have ever expected! A bientôt! We love Colivault!

We were pleasantly surprised at every turn. The property was unbelievable! Richard was the perfect Host. Every little detail was surprising and great. We lived the chateau life!

Colivault is an absolute gem. The hosts, Richard & Sophie, are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. The home is gorgeous and comfortable, and the animals are a delight. Highly recommend to anyone, including families with children. We certainly hope to return!!
