Great location, quiet and away from crowds, but walkable to everything. Outgoing, prompt and friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious, lots of variety. Luggage drop off for early check-in or checkout was very much appreciated. Would stay here again if ever back in Venice.

Clean bedding, plenty of towels and hot shower. Friendly and helpful staff and the location was superb. Good value for money in the heart of Venice and only 10 minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge or St Marco. Less than ten minutes walk to take the boat at Fondamente Nove to the airport or Burano which is well worth a visit. Good ice cream nearby at Gelato du natura and a good food at Da Gigi restaurant Salizada San Lio. Lovely breakfast and free water all day in the hotel. A simple but good experience for those on a budget.

The Expedia description was not clear and we did not realize that the private bathroom was outside our room - there also was no air conditioning in the bathroom which made showering a sauna. Would not stay here with children. The front desk gave us information about how to get the bus but then failed to mention no one works at the front desk until 8am.

Excellent service and check in the rooms were clean and very close to everything 3min to plaza at Marco.

Bathroom was outside of the room ….and no iron or steamer to iron the clothes

Room had air conditioning which was the highlight of our stay. The bathroom was not connected to the room and was very hot and uncomfortable to use. This is a church which is also used as a hotel. Elevator was not serviced since 2008 and had a very quick closing time - beware. Also, can get locked in bathroom.

I love traveling in hostels, and I am a big "save the earth" person, so everything about this place resonates with me. The staff is great. The room is spotless, spacious, high-ceilinged, has art, and is right by the canal. Breakfast is both healthy and yummy. The 24-hr availability of cold drinking water is priceless during summer. Highly recommended, and I would love to stay in their other locations.
