Well placed hotel for walking to many places in Kuching. The complimentary breakfast is Spartan but there are many eateries for breakfast close by. Nice pool.

Great location, super pool, loved the decor and historical atmosphere.

The " breakfast' is coffee or tea and white bread. If you are mobility impaired,in poor health or have heavy luggage there are many,many stairs from reception just to ground floor and very dangerous narrow stairs to upper floors. No elevator. It's a lovely hotel but the stairs could be a major issue for many people!

Centrally located, feels historically right, pretty and comfortable. A little spartan but not for the price.

No lift. Difficult to take your bags without help.

A great place to stay. Right by the waterfront and close to all the local shops and restaurants. Neat experience to stay in a heritage building in the heart of Kuching. Was a bit loud but the close proximity to the sites definitely makes up for it. Getting to the parking was a bit tricky but eventually you’ll find it. Will definitely recommend this hotel again!

Overall an amazing place to stay in kuching, especially if your looking for somewhere with some character. The place is rustic with a few little bits which arent perfect, but place is really interesting, with lot of history and also really clean. The hotel is near the old town and china town, with lots of bar and restaurants nearby and short was to the river front. Bedroom are small but everything you need, both bed and bathroom were immaculate! - (photos are from check out). Staff were fantastic and really helpful and we book to tour through them which were also really well organised. Breakfast is basic but again every is clean and idea to set you up for the day. Honestly don't have a bad word to say. If we get a chance to visit kuching again, we would definitely book here again.

A lovely conserved property with a deep history restored and full of memories to discover. Very convenient to get to the river and other food spots in the old town. Highly recommended.

Pleasant, quiet and rustic.

This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. If noise bothers you you may want to choose a room towards the rear of the property. Seems like people either love or hate this property. Place us with those who love it
