NIPPONIA HARIMA FUKUSAKI ZOUSHONO YAKATA

Very convenient to be picked up at the train station and dropped of whne leaving. Lovely bath and great town to explore

Such a lovely establishment! Everything was perfect. The room was very clean, spacious and charming. I love the library which was full of interesting books on Japan. Wonderful staff, exquisite meals and a nice Hinoki bathtub. What more can one ask for? Parking was easy, just outside the hotel.

If you’re chasing something truly unique in Japan, skip the big cities for a night and stay in Fukusaki — a small town quietly famous for its yokai folklore. And if you do, there’s one stay that absolutely makes the experience unforgettable. The space itself is incredibly homey. You get that instant exhale when you walk in—like you’ve arrived somewhere safe after a long journey. It’s clean, thoughtfully arranged, and full of little details that make it feel personal rather than staged. But what makes it special? That gentle thread of “spooky” woven throughout. Not haunted-house scary—more like: • A lantern-lit walk where something might be watching 👀 • A quiet street with yokai statues peeking out at you • That cozy, slightly eerie feeling you only get in small Japanese towns at night It’s the perfect vibe for anyone who wants atmosphere without losing comfort. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a secret—this is it. Staying here isn’t just about accommodation, it’s about stepping into a story. A gentle, slightly eerie, beautifully cozy story that you get to live in for a night or two. 10/10 would recommend for any yokai hunter, cozy traveler, or anyone craving something different.

日常を忘れるひと時を過ごすことができる空間だった。スタッフさんも、親切ながらも程よい距離感を大切にしてくれている感じでとてもよかった。再来したいと思える宿だった。

Very professional staff! The property really allows you to be immersed in Japanese culture!
