Everything was great. The staff was friendly.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at this hotel. During our stay, several items and cash went missing from our suitcases that were kept in our room. We are certain the belongings were present when we arrived and while we were staying at the hotel. The suitcases remained in our room for the duration of our stay. When we reported the matter, management relied on a room key access report, and "asking" staff to conclude that no wrongdoing had occurred. While we appreciate that such reports exist, they do not provide complete reassurance and, in our view, cannot definitively rule out unauthorised access. We also requested that CCTV footage be reviewed, but were informed that recordings were only retained for 72 hours and therefore were no longer available. What was most disappointing was not only the loss of our belongings but the lack of a thorough investigation and the unwillingness to explore all available avenues. As paying guests, we expected our concerns to be taken seriously and for every effort to be made to determine what happened. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel and would advise future guests to take extra precautions with valuables.

Breakfast is a good option, but the choice is nice to have when you can shop and get the basic needed for breakfast in your rooms efficiency kitchen as well. The freeflow of coffee/tea in the restaurant on the 7th floor is a bonus.

The hotel is close walking distance to the ubon and a 25min walk to downtown. Nearby shopping (2 blocks away) to stock your kitchen with basics if you are inclined to have breakfast in the room or adventurous in making dinner. The free flow of coffee/tea on the 7th floor where the restaurant is located is a nice bonus, especially when the weather is good, and sit out on the rooftop deck with a nice view of downtown and read the morning paper. The morning breakfast is always a good option at the restaurant, and in the evenings for dinner the best caparinia's outside of São Paulo and an excellent assortment of Brazilian favorites (feijoada and many more~). The staff is always helpful and friendly, making this a perfect place for a short term stay.

The rooms are efficient and give you the benefit of having everything you need to prepare and have meals in the room. The shared space in the upstairs are is great for coffee (freeflow) in the morning or cocktails and dinner in the evening. All in Rioca's staff are professional and helpful. The close proximity to Ubon is good as well as walking distance to markets and of course the University

Comfortable, clean and welcoming. Great coffee bar! Dinner is authentic Brazilian. Breakfast is a good value

Beautiful, modern hotel with Brazilian themed decor. Clean and colorful.

The whole Rioca experience was exceptional. The Brazilian themed hotel is unlike anything I’ve seen before. From the superb decor to the gentle birdsong as you walk along the hallway to the spacious quiet room, it was great!

No parking and hotel was not clean there was iron not extra shampoo room service was not clean everyday
