Such genuinely kind and hard working staff that what to ensure your stay is comfortable and pleasant. I would recommend this stay to anyone. The traditional Japanese breakfast was my favorite part!

We had an incredibly peaceful stay at Toshiharu Ryokan. It was such an interesting experience to stay in a traditional ryokan. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the traditional breakfast we had one morning was absolutely delicious, highly recommend trying it. Such a special and memorable experience if you’re looking for something a little different in Kyoto.

This 115 year old ryokan was absolutely gorgeous. The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff were so kind and welcoming, ensuring that everything I needed was taken care of. If you are visiting a don’t speak Japanese fluently, they speak English as well. The breakfast was absolutely amazing too! I cannot stress how much I recommend staying here. I personally loved the “chrysanthemum room” (Kiku) since I was directly in front of the garden.

This was our first stay at a Ryoken and it was a wonderful experience.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Toshiharu Ryokan. The location was close to so many restaurants, shops, and temples. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Take room was great and I loved the garden view. I recommend this location to anyone who is interested in experiencing a ryokan in Kyoto!

This ryokan was relatively close to all the main sites and was absolutely stunning (especially the garden) with the most relaxing bath options - the staff was incredibly hospitable and kind, cannot recommend enough

This was the most beautiful stay. We stayed for 4 nights and it was lovely. We had a delicious Japanese’s breakfast each morning and the staff we extremely welcoming. It was the most relaxing stay of our trip to Japan. I couldn’t recommend this enough.
