The air-conditioning was so weak that we had to leave abandoning our prepaid reservation. Both rooms were hot and humid and stayed hot even after the aircon had been on for more than 2 hours. My daughter previously had to take steroid medication for a spreading severe rash worsened by the heat so we couldn't stay there Additionally the bathroom was so small that my son couldn't use the toilet. The drain under the sink leaked severely. The room was run down and there was no elevator while the stairs were intensely hot. I asked for a room with better air-conditioning and was told none would be available that night. I didn't feel confident that the next room would be satisfactory so we left. The person at the desk said he could not refund a single penny of the 4 night reservation. I don't know how this property could have had the reviews I saw on Expedia. Impossible.

The staff are what made my stay spectacular. Everyone was just so lovely and kind and made me feel so safe. The location is just so perfect and everywhere is pretty much within walking distance. I only took one grab my whole stay here. If you’re planning to stay here expect a wonderful welcoming and staff that are just so happy to help and assist. So grateful to have stayed here!!

I had to switch to another hotel because they didn't have a room for me that I had reserved. The other hotel had a weird opening that could be unsafe, as someone could enter it by just climbing. The location was great. A little loud. It was a beautiful French building. The staff is super friendly.

It is right in the entertainment area. The lake, Beer Street, and the walking market are right there. There are laundry facilities in the area, but you need to bring your detergent. There are several options for eating and drinking. The first floor is actually on the second floor. You must have good knees to go up and down stairs. The stuff is very nice and very attractive. They arrange transportation at a better price than the airport. You can order food, and they will bring it upstairs if you don't want to go down. The nights are lively and full of music and people.

Good location, staff is great, helpfully, room is clean but I feel the air smell something not great

I had a great stay at this hotel in Hanoi! The place is clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable spot to rest after a day of exploring. One of the standout perks is their motorcycle rental, which makes getting around the city super convenient. The staff is also incredibly helpful—they know all the best local spots for food, entertainment, and sightseeing, which is great if you’re new to the area. While it’s not a five-star luxury hotel, it’s a fantastic option for travelers looking for an affordable, well-located place to stay while experiencing everything Hanoi has to offer. Would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Very worth the money

Anna's amazing assistance through Expedia deserves recognition. She was incredibly friendly and provided invaluable help with planning my trip to Halong Bay in Vietnam.
