clean room, frienly staff

Staff were amazing, very accommodating and helpful during the remainder of our stay! Breakfast was delicious, but portion sizes varied from day to day. Location is perfect! You are close to everything in the city and bus stops are a 2 minute walk making it easy and accessible to get anywhere!

Great staff, valet parking is nice. Great for younger couples who like to party, not really good for families.

The room was excellent and quite a fun view, the staff was very kind and there's always someone at the front desk!

Very convenient place, near by multiple markets, shops, and restaurants. Close to the beach and easy access through the mall. The hotel’s beach rentals are a bit of a walk from the actual hotel. Welcoming and friendly staff. Nice and modern interior.

This is an older hotel but it has been very nicely refurbished and modernized. The rooms are nice, clean, and modern, with good air conditioning. The hallways are not air conditioned. The restaurant and bar are modern and clean, and the food is good. Service was pretty slow at breakfast time - they need more servers. It's a great location, just two blocks off the beach, and the prices are quite reasonable for Waikiki. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall: 5/5 ⭐ Absolutely loved it! I highly, highly recommend this place and will 100% stay here again next time I'm in Honolulu! I seriously cannot say enough good things about the Romer House. The room, the location, the staff, the service—everything was just awesome! What I absolutely loved: The Location: Just perfect. It’s close to everything and so convenient. The Room & Bed: Spotless, super clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Plus, it has a bidet toilet which was a great bonus! The Staff: Honestly, some of the nicest, most courteous service ever. They make you feel so welcome. The Food: You have to eat at the restaurant—the food is excellent! Just a few honest things to note: The Shower: The glass wall is a bit narrow, so water splashes everywhere on the bathroom floor. It drove my anxiety a little crazy, but it's manageable! Weekend Noise: The windows/glass doors aren't fully soundproof, and there’s a club nearby. Friday and Saturday nights definitely get noisy, so just pack some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The Pool: It’s on the smaller side, but honestly, who cares? You’re in Honolulu, and everyone just goes to the beach anyway! Final Thoughts: Even with the splashy shower and the weekend noise, the amazing staff and perfect location completely blew me away. I truly loved my stay here. If you're heading to Waikiki, book it!

This place was clean friendly and it had no smells. Employees were working around the clock to make sure it was maintained.

If you sleep hot would not recommend hotel. It says it’s a 61 but does not feel close to 61. There was food and other items it left in a drawer from previous visitors.

I was excited to book Romer Waikiki over other nearby boutique hotels based on the property’s website and Instagram presence, which showcased a vibrant atmosphere and amenities that seemed thoughtfully curated. Unfortunately, my experience didn’t fully match those expectations. One of the amenities that influenced my decision was the advertised yoga offering, but the class was canceled during my stay. I only learned this after asking the front desk, and no advance notice was provided. Better communication around amenity changes would have been appreciated. I was also surprised by an additional $700 deposit requirement at check-in. This was not clearly communicated during the booking process, and I had expected to pay only the amount and fees outlined through Expedia. While I understand deposits are common, transparency beforehand would help guests plan accordingly. Overall, the hotel had a nice aesthetic and good energy, but the experience felt underwhelming compared to the expectations created by its marketing. For a boutique hotel at this price point, I was hoping for more attention to guest communication, follow-through on the amenities that were advertised and a more aloha feel. Something that the island is known for.
