Ted adequate for the location

Breakfast and coffee every morning was the best part of our stay. Our toilet overflowed both days and staff looked at it hours later. The bathroom in the reception area has a code to get in. There is no way to lock the door once you are inside the bathroom. We got walked in on several times. Staff is not very friendly. Drivers to and from the airport were great!

Old structure, virtually bare rooms

Staff was friendly. No maid service. On two occasions I asked for towels and was told there were none. Pool was small but ok. Breakfast was ok.

The room was not in the best condition. The air conditioning unit didn't work, the floors were dirty, and the toilet paper holder was loose and pulling away from the wall. There was also no coffee maker in the room, and the laundry facilities consisted of only one washer and one dryer for the entire property. The staff seemed annoyed. Overall, the experience did not match the price we paid, and I don't feel the room was worth the cost.

Tear the property down and rebuild

Very expensive for the low quality. But nice staff.

The pictures on the application are not representative of the actual property. This is a run down, poorly maintained hotel. The room has no pictures on the walls, there is no lock on the window which has a view of the homeless who live behind the building. There are only three towels for four people, and there is no housekeeping service. We stayed for 5 nights and had to beg the staff for soap. The laundry is used by the people who live in the cars in the parking lot, the doors to the hotel stairs are open to all. No need to set an alarm as the trains will honk their horns starting at 4am every 20-30 minutes. Far from downtown, at the bottom of a large hill.

Would NEVER stay there again. Photos on website did not represent the property. Dead grass on front lawn. Front door broken and in need of maintenance. Virtually every entry door to a room was very scratched up and needed repainting. Hallways were dark and smelled. When we arrived we saw two police cars in the driveway and 4 officers down the hallway dealing with a guest. Our room was painted a weird blue. Electrical wires were fastened together with plastic twisties. Worse - the train tracks were right near the property and we heard train whistles every hour for the entire night. We took the shuttle to the airport - when we got in - half the seatbelts did not work and the driver didn't care.

Poor service and safety concerns. Our stay started poorly with a very rude front desk staff during registration and shuttle coordination. The biggest issue happened when we arrived at our room: the door was ajar, the TV was on, and the lights were on. The front desk casually advised that housekeeping just forgot to shut the door and turn things off. Additionally, the TV remote didn't work and no channel guide was available. Staff attempted to assist but couldn't resolve the issue. I cannot recommend this hotel and will be avoiding Wingate by Wyndham properties moving forward.
