It's a very cozy bistro in a small ally, not many people can found it. Feel like dinning at home, only 16 seats. Dinner is reservation only. Better to make sure have table first! Staffs speaking English. They have a in store sommelier with great wine selection! No menu here, Chef Simon cook with seasonal food only! Every dish are so delicate and fresh! I'm adore the seafood starter tonight! The scollop carpaccio with beef consommé is awesome! Me and my friends love it! And the beef steak ..... Yummy!! I can't wait to come here again! It's totally worth to come down here!!! Never though about I can have this awesome dinner in Tainan, can't miss it foodies!!
My family and I spent a week travelling around Taiwan, and we all agree that this is the best on the whole trip! It is small and cozy, and the food is AMAZING! If you want to go, you should make a reservation well ahead of time, though. The service is excellent and personal, and the food is so good that we had to come again the next day.
The food at Bistro Alley was top- notch (daresay comparable to Marco Pierre White or Raymond Blanc). We had a "simple" seafood salad to start with and it was anything but simple! The oysters, sea urchins and the squid was so fresh and the accompanying salad so crisp, I couldn't imagine a more perfect combination. We were then treated to a fantastic risotto topped with generous shavings of black truffle and parmesan and then a sirloin steak (cooked to perfection) served with baby carrots and other tasty morsels! My absolute favourite though was the suckling pig! At the risk of sounding cliche, words cannot describe how divinely delicious it was. It was undoubtedly one of the BEST dishes I've ever had. The service was excellent and the selection of wine here is incredible. I loved everything about this restaurant and I cannot recommend Bistro Alley highly enough! The best kept secret in Tainan, and indeed in Taiwan!!
