The staff were good, efficient check in. Continental breakfast in morning good but basic. Room was ok shower wasnt bad hot pressure ok. No shampoo had body lotion and shower gel. Lucky i had shampoo with me. No soap either again used own. I had double for 2 people only 2 milk coffee and tea ok so in morning i asked for more. Staff at breakfast good too. My main issues no mention of stairs and bed was so bad felt every spring didnt sleep well had back and neckache. It was quite cheap but on this holiday id stayed at Aston conference for 60 bed was superking lots of pillows, huge room , air con can ask for various pillows etc. I slept very well there. Final thing room was stuffy, there is a fan or possibly open window i didnt it was raining. So unless you have reason to stay in area id pay bit extra for better bed elsewhere. If they sorted stuffiness, mattress and soap, milk shampoo i would give it another go.

Don’t expect 4 star. This is a budget hotel and fabulous. Wonderful staff. Simple and good continental breakfast. The cost is amazing. It’s the reason someone like me can have a walkabout adventure. Thank you

Nice staff, clean hotel.

No lift to the rooms, no air conditioning, no shaver socket. Windows were single glazed with traffic noise from a busy road outside. Breakfast is continental not cooked.

We stayed for one night for a concert. The room is well-equipped, clean and excellent value for money. Staff were very helpful. As previous reviews mention the breakfast is relatively basic but you absolutely cannot complain with the price of the room. The room smelt of smoke when we arrived but after it was ventilated it was all fine. The sofa in our room was a bit dirty but no other complaints. Thanks for a great stay.

Rooms above a bar. Tight stair case.

Lovely old inn over the pub. Very nice breakfast included.
