Location was good for the places we wanted to see. Beds were comfortable.

Loved our stay at the Omo5. The location was amazing, just steps away from the main shopping streets/markets and very close to several subway stations. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and provided everything we needed for our stay. I highly recommend this hotel. We’ll be staying here again the next time we’re in Kyoto!

Great location and absolutely spotless rooms.

Building place. Rooms were very spacious. For a family of 4 it was perfect. We had 4 beds and 2 full washrooms. Plus it was in the downtown core which we loved. I would highly recommend this place. It was very clean and well maintained as well.

The location of this hotel is excellent for a visit to Kyoto! We loved the closeness to transit (train, bus) and how walkable the area was. We were right near a huge covered shopping area and the river bank. There was a delicious bakery across the street for tasty western breakfast (just under the Park Canvas hotel). The bed was comfortable but there was no view and the temperature control was a bit strange (cool, then hot, then cool). The shower had phenomenal pressure and hot water, but was not spotless clean as I would expect. I think more frequent, thorough housekeeping is required here. The lobby was nice, offering sweets & coffee in the evening for free, as well as teas, candy, and some basic amenities. We didn't opt into breakfast since better options were available. The staff were super friendly, spoke English and helped us arrange our luggage transfer to Tokyo. They also held our luggage before check-in free of charge which was great. Overall, the location can't be beat and the hotel was modern, bright, and comfortable so I would recommend it highly! No regrets from our family of 4.

I was very looking forward to my stay but left feeling very disappointed. Room: no black out curtains. The sun woke us up at 6 am. TV was not smart tv and no international channels. I like having the tv on before going to bed but it was of no use. Room was very small which I knew but had no storage space. Lighting was poorly designed. There was no switch by the bed for the entrance lights. Housekeeping is very basic. However the biggest issue and the reason for the low rating was a security issue. We came back to our room to find our door open on the latch. We assumed the cleaner was in so we knocked and then opened only to find no one in the room. Who knows how long our door had been left like this? The cleaner was not viable around; thus expecting it had been left like that for a long time! We complained to the reception and they apologised and said that the cleaner must have left it. We don’t think anything is missing, however anyone could have entered our room and taken something small or meddled with our staff? Very upsetting! Location was very good.

Great location.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a very convenient part of the city. It was clean and safe which is a minimum for me. The room was nice and had a little more room than some we had on our trip. The staff was friendly. Although we didn't eat in the hotel, the amenities and food looked very good.

This hotel is located in the center of town everything is walkable from here many options for dining.
