Easily the most amazing property I have ever stayed at (beating some world-class resorts in the Maldives for example). The Savah Sunset Villa, that we had all to ourselves, is the size of a tennis court but has two storeys. The grounds of that one villa down to the beach are the size of a football pitch. The private pool is bigger (and deeper) than many hotels' communal pools. The staff even come to your villa to cook breakfast. The sandy beach and ocean are spectacular. Sunset was heavenly. It is a mystery why this property is undiscovered. Maybe the four-hour drive from Kota Kinabalu is off-putting, but it's an easy trip and well worth it.

As a westerner, you pay for the amazing view, location, almost private beach and a private pool. You won't be able to get it at this price in Europe. For that, this place is paradise. They come to your villa and lay out your breakfast for you and if you had ordered dinner, they would do the same. One weird thing is that the staff just enter your villa and come into the kitchen/ living room. Sometimes they just enter to turn on the lights. They are all very pleasant but it seems odd practice. We felt if we were changing, we had to be careful and ensure all the curtains are closed even though it's a private villa. There are certainly areas for improvement if they had a bit more attention to detail, i.e. skimming the pool in the morning of the dead insects, there are sufficient staff around who could do this. Some of the furnishings could do with being updated/refurbished. It wouldn't take much to make these small improvements and turn it from a 4 star review to a 5 star experience.

Great place to stay! Very comfortable villa and very friendly staff. Information provided through the Expedia booking was limited so would suggest to book directly through the resort website. For example, we were not aware prior to arrival that we could have diner at the villa

The villa is beautiful with a wonderful garden, it was a real pleasure to spend our vacation there. Delicious breakfasts and very nice service, every request was fulfilled. In addition, a wonderful breakfast for the road. Thank you and we will definitely come back.
