The staff at the Cairn hotel were kind and helpful. They stored our bags until our room was ready so we could go out and explore. They also helped us get a new room on the property for a good price when our flights were canceled without notice. They were patient and talked us through the room options they had available.

Staff were friendly. I had a room across the street which was a good size and had a small kitchen area, more than what I needed for an overnight stay. Good location, quiet but handy for the city centre. Nice breakfast in the morning which was included in the price. Not particularly cheap at more than £200, but was the most reasonably priced option available for the night I was staying. Roadside parking only so far as I could tell, but I used a nearby Q Park. Would stay here again.

Not worth the money.

Had an apartment, not a room. Very old building, but modern appliances and upgrades were nice.

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and nicely decorated. We loved having access to a microwave and refrigerator.

Did exactly what it purported to do - quick efficient check in, room with everything you need, clean, comfortable and no surprises.

The hotel’s location was excellent, just a short walk from the city center. We were able to walk to all the main attractions, which made our stay very convenient. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I accidentally left my bag at the hotel, which contained our shoes and my new Michael Kors handbag. They kindly helped me arrange for the package to be shipped to my home address. Thank you very much for your outstanding service and for everything you did. I truly appreciate your kindness and support!

Lodging prices in Edinburgh are very expensive. This property has comparable lower prices, is well maintained, clean and a 15min walk from some main sites. Breakfast includes ham, bacon, baked beans, eggs (they seem to be dehydrated scrambled eggs), etc. Our room was facing the back and was quiet, spacious and comfortable.

Frictionless stay, I've stayed here twice now, both times I got a friendly welcome on the front desk, clean and quiet room, at a reasonable price and great location.

For a three star accommodation, I had to adjust my expectations. The hotel is conveniently located, 15 minute walk to the airport tram station and to St James Square, a famous shopping centre, and almost 20 minutes to Edinburgh Waverley. The staff was friendly and available 24 hours and stored my luggage free of charge when I arrived earlier than the check-in time. I gave three stars because the loud sounds from other room were heard in my room even at midnight. The walls could have been better insulated. Also, although the room was daily cleaned, the sink was not. Finally, the window was not fully closed maybe due to lack of AC, they wanted the room to have fresh air. This caused bees and flies to enter the room and make an annoying wheezing noise.
