The property was great and I had a good experience

I have stayed at the Hilton Cartagena many times over the years, and this visit reminded me exactly why I continue coming back. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the bell staff and front desk team. As a returning Hilton Honors guest, they recognized my loyalty and surprised me with an upgrade to a beautiful Executive Suite, making my stay even more memorable. The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. Housekeeping kept my suite immaculate, James in the bar and lounge always provided outstanding service, and Elvis made every dining experience enjoyable. The entire Executive Lounge team, including the bartenders and breakfast staff, were professional, friendly, and attentive. Every employee I encountered made me feel genuinely valued. The pool attendants, bartenders, and staff throughout the resort were equally welcoming and courteous. It’s clear that outstanding customer service is part of the culture at Hilton Cartagena.

Excellent customer service

We had a spectacular time! The service in all areas restaurants, pools and staff in general were amazing. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal. A variety of food! The rooms were very comfortable and great AC. I will definitely come back!

Issue: Bedbug Infestation and Poor Management Response. My recent six-day stay in a suite at your property this past weekend. Before detailing my grievance, I want to commend your front-line staff. From the bellmen to the cleaning crew, the service personnel are fantastic. They do a wonderful job taking care of everything visible to the eye. For anyone reading this, please tip these hard-working individuals generously. Unfortunately, my experience was severely compromised by a critical health and safety issue: a bedbug infestation. I take vacations primarily to rest, but my sleep was entirely disrupted. After our first night, I woke up with visible bug bites on my hands and arms. I immediately informed the receptionist, who sent a supervisor to inspect the room. The staff changed the bedding and told us they would look into the matter further. We vacated the room for the day to allow them to handle it. Shockingly, the next morning brought the exact same results: more bites. The most unacceptable part of this experience was how management handled the situation. When I went downstairs to complain a second time, I was directed to a supervisor. Instead of moving us to a new room or immediately calling pest control, he offered me a mere 7,000 loyalty points. He explained that hotel policy required them to conduct an internal "study" and hire a third party to evaluate the room later. This response lacks any sense of urgency. Property is old in need of a touch up. Staff is not friendly at all, except some of the restaurant staff. Front desk staff are not professional or helpful. They don't provide any information. It was like pulling teeth. No eye contact when talking to you. I was expected to figure out what and how to do next. Not recommending this hotel.
