Hotel Nazionale Portofino was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Portofino. You simply can’t beat the location—being right in the heart of Portofino made it easy to explore the harbor, restaurants, shops, and nearby walking trails without having to worry about transportation. The staff was consistently warm, welcoming, and friendly throughout our stay. They made us feel genuinely welcome and were always happy to answer questions or help whenever we needed anything. One of the biggest reasons I chose this hotel was that it is truly pet friendly. Traveling with a dog can sometimes be stressful, so it was refreshing to stay somewhere that genuinely accommodates pets. That made a huge difference in our experience and allowed us to fully enjoy our visit. We also visited during an intense heat wave, so the air conditioning was a lifesaver. It kept the room cool and comfortable, making it easy to relax after spending the day exploring in the summer heat. Overall, Hotel Nazionale offered a comfortable stay, excellent hospitality, and an unbeatable location. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and pet-friendly hotel in the heart of Portofino.

Excellent location to all tourist spots in Portofino. Hotel staff are nice and helpful. Room is spacious and very clean. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. Everything is just perfect!

Wonderful hotel right in the Portofino harbour area. Staff were amazing and provided excellent restaurant recommendations and ensured our stay was memorable. Best breakfast of our whole Italy trip. Thank you so much - we will be back!

Fabulous location and room. Staff very friendly, helpful and informative. Room had fantastic balcony overlooking water, castle and church on the hill. It rained the entire day we were there, but our room was perfectly situated to still enjoy wonderful Portifino from our balcony. All restaurants nearby so very navigable despite heavy rain.

Beautiful little boutique hotel right in the port of Portofino. Breakfast was a huge bonus as well. The staff was so helpful and the rooms (at least mine) was newly renovated. A word of caution that it is a walk-up hotel and definitely not handicap accessible. I would stay again in a second.

While public parking is the only option, bell hop service was excellent. Hotel is so conveniently located only 100 yards from the marina and with dozens of stores and restaurants within a two minute walk. Very clean rooms, highly attentive staff and excellent breakfast. Highly recommend.

Great location and lovely staff

Perfect location near waterfront in Portofino. Modest hotel but honestly preferred it over a couple of more run down, overhyped 5 starts. Excellent staff. Room was comfortable and clean, no frills but great for what we needed. Quiet. Was a pleasant surprise.

Great location to main port square, to the bus back to s.Margarita and ferry if you choose. Breakfast is great and they do night service which I didn’t know. They give you beach towels too which I didn’t know. Good staff and place but they need to go through what you get

A wonderfully located hotel right on the front. The staff were really welcoming and the bed was so comfortable. Would highly recommend.
