Great spot for relaxing. Beach bungalows are ace, resort far side of the beach and so nice and quiet.

We had a wonderful 5 days at The Tropical. Since it’s located at the end of a beach there were fewer people on our beach yet it was close enough to walk to other restaurants and the Bangbao area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even helped us book a private taxi back to Bangkok at half the price other resorts were offering. While we found our bungalow comfortable, if you want a pristine, modern room you might be disappointed. There were a few ants in the bathroom due to the thatched roof. As long as you keep food out of the bedroom, the ants pretty much stayed in the bathroom. As long as you don’t mind a few ants, it’s well worth it for the peaceful surroundings, the friendly staff and the very good restaurant. With only 27 bungalows you were guaranteed a lounge chair and room to spread out instead of sitting in a crowd of people. The swimming wasn’t the best in front of the hotel due to underwater rocks but if you just walk down the beach a little ways it was fine. If you’re looking for a peaceful slice of paradise, I recommend The Tropical.

Amazing location, at the end of the beach so lovey and quiet. The staff an incredible and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Great music from Robert! We had a great jam! Only annoying thing was the fridge wasn’t on a separate socket so went off every time the bungalow was locked. Overall though it was exceptional and we will be back!

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. Staff were friendly and always smiling. Bungalow was clean, cosy and everything worked fine. The beach was nice and the hammocks and swings a nice touch. Food at the restaurant where breakfast was served was beautiful. Would reccomend the BBQ night! Would happily stay here again as so much better than even some of the 4 star hotels on the island.

Part of what made our stay so nice was the staff. They were very friendly and sweetly placed orchids on our porch and in our room while we were enjoying our anniversary dinner. The breakfasts were very filling and the dinner menu was varied and delicious. The beach was nice for swimming and water was clean. A great place away from the busier tourist areas on the island yet close to Bang Bao.

Quiet beach. Great staff. Neat bungalows. Great value!

Room was clean and comfortable. Each hut (which is actually concrete) has hot shower, flush toilet, safe, fridge, console table, bench, air conditioner, and a bed with a mosquito net. During my entire we didn't need to use the mosquito net and was not bothered by insects. Quiet at night. Hotel offers free kayak though we didn't have the time to use it. Not accessible by a minibus if that is your transit from the mainland to the island - you need to hire your own taxi, which is a truck labeled "taxi". The taxis can be found everywhere, especially at the main pier, so guests ought not to have any problems going to this hotel - you just need to know that this is something you need to do (rather than expecting the minibus to send you to this hotel). On our last day the hotel offered us a free ride to the location where we were picked up by our transit back to the mainland. Staff were all friendly and good at English. Cannot give higher recommendation. Very satisfied.

Bungalows are good with aircon, great size, enough space for all your stuff. Beach is not that great, but 50-100m further will be great without stones. Free seakayak, food is good, staff is nice. Sorrounding environment could have more attention,

I STAY OFTEN AT THIS HOTEL AS I AM BASED IN BANGKOK. THE ACCOMODATION IS LARGFE SPACIOUS BUNGALOWS WHICH ARE VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTBLE. ALL ARE VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH, WITH MOST ENJOYING SEA VIEWS. THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT AND FRIENDLY. THE BREAKFAST BUFFET IS VARIED AND HEALTHY. TROPICAL BEAHC RESORT IS IDEAL FOR FAMILIES LOOKING TO RELAX IN QUIET SURROUNDINGS. I AND MY SON ALWAYS ENJOY STAYING AT TROPICAL AND WILL CONTINUE TO STAY THERE IN THE FUTURE.
