I recently stayed at this hotel for five days while visiting Seattle with my service animal, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. The hotel was under construction, but this was never disclosed before my arrival. My first room had a 2.5-inch gap under the door, allowing constant hallway noise inside. It was also next to the elevators, and the walls were so thin I heard the elevator doors opening and closing day and night. Which was very problematic with my service animal and myself.
Because the hotel was fully booked, I couldn't be moved immediately. When I finally was, the second room was even worse. The HVAC was stuck on heat and would not cool the room.
The most upsetting part was how staff treated me because of my service animal. Multiple employees repeatedly questioned me about my dog even after I explained she is a service animal. One front desk employee even followed us to the elevator while continuing to ask questions. It felt like harassment and showed a complete lack of understanding of the rights of guests with service animals.
When I checked out, I asked to speak with the manager about my five-day stay. I was told she would contact me, but despite calling the hotel every day since, I have received no response. I will be contacting the corporate office to file a formal complaint. I cannot recommend this hotel, especially to anyone traveling with a service animal. I got zero rest staying at this hotel for 5 nights just awful!!
