To be honest, this was our first time staying here. I thought it was an okay hotel, but the budget was a bit high for the small room we got. My husband was very disappointed with the size of the room; everything looked cramped together. However, I can’t complain that we were right in front of this. Another thing we didn’t like was that they had to keep our car keys and move them because they rent the parking lot to visitors of Disneyland. Once it was our turn to check out, they also removed our car to the front and placed it all the way in the checkout area. I had to request him to put it back in its original spot to make it easier for us to load our belongings into the trunk.

After a long, exhausting day of traveling with our two young children, we finally arrived at our room and turned on the air conditioning because it was extremely hot. Within a few minutes, we noticed a strong, unpleasant odor that quickly became unmistakable—it smelled like mold. Shortly after, our kids started coughing, and my eyes became itchy. I immediately reported the issue to the front desk. They told us they didn’t have any first-floor rooms available, even though we had specifically requested one because my wife is disabled. We were also told we would have to wait until the next day for the AC unit to be cleaned or repaired. With no other option, we turned the AC off and opened the window. Unfortunately, it was around 90°F outside, so the room became unbearably hot. We were sweating and couldn’t get any sleep. Around 10:00 p.m., a maintenance technician unexpectedly arrived to inspect the AC unit. As soon as he turned it on, he immediately acknowledged the moldy smell. He opened the unit and found visible mold inside (see photo). He offered to replace the entire unit, which he did, and we appreciated his effort and professionalism. However, the smell lingered, and we still weren’t able to sleep that night. While we are grateful to the technician for doing everything he could to resolve the issue, it’s unacceptable for guests to be placed in a room with a mold-contaminated air conditioning unit in the first place. No family should have to deal with these conditions

Parking staff was very friendly!

This is a fine place to spend a night. It's clean, but not special. A basic room has no chairs or anyplace to sit other than the beds. The plugs are near the nightstand and the TV, but there are no plugs by the window or on the side wall. I'd suggest bringing a power strip. There are no towel bars near the sink; my husband thought the toilet was very low and small, and the bed was quite firm. They were reluctant to give us extra towels. We did end up getting a few, but it involved an unpleasant experience. I didn't really feel welcome during check-in either. The ice machines and elevators are on one side of the building, so if you aren't on the correct side, you have to cross the parking lot or walk in a U to get there. Disney fireworks aren't visible on the side we were staying on (the lobby side), and from just outside the lobby you can see about half of them over the trees. The one high point was the shower, which was thoughtfully designed with actual places to put bath products — it's one of the best I've seen. It also had "conditioning shampoo" and "body wash" in pump bottles. If I were in a pinch, I'd stay again, but otherwise we'd choose elsewhere on Harbor.

Nice , clean motel steps away from the Disney entrance!

This is an older hotel but it has been updated with new rooms. Our room was clean with a nice walk in shower. The beds were comfortable and the room was big enough where we did not feel crowded

The Tropicana is our go to motel when we take our grandchildren to Disneyland! Two minute walk to the park, great dining choices all within walking distance. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We even had a nicely equipped kitchen on our last visit.
