Unfortunately, my stay at the Marriott Downtown Jacksonville was a little disappointing. Multiple elevators smelled strongly like urine. I reported it to the front desk, and while I was told it would be taken care of, one of the same elevator still smelled later it seemed like they had just sprayed air freshener to mask the odor rather than actually cleaning it.
The issues didn’t stop there. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working properly, making the room uncomfortable, and the toilet wouldn’t flush consistently.
For a Marriott, I expected much better maintenance and attention to cleanliness. Hopefully these issues are addressed for future guests.
