Tuyệt vời This hotel was literally across the street from Kyoto Station so it was convenient for transportation access, shopping and restaurants. Rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean for four night stay for family of four adults. Excellent staff, clean laundry area. This was the 3rd Mimaru hotel in Japan that we've stayed in and we have always had a great stay!!!

The experience of living in the hotel was great, despite they had an hot-water outage issue, options and recommendations were well communicated, ended up everything went quite well and smoothly. Their staffs are great and very helpful.
The overall experience is great with amazing convenient location.

Pokemon themed rule was a big hit with the kids. Staff were superfriendly. The hand caligraphy gifts at the end of the stay withour names was special.

Location is very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean like almost everything in Japan. Family apartment is very spacious. Highly highly recommend this place. We will definitely stay here again!

Everything was excellent! Spacious for a family of 4. Even though it’s right by the train station we didn’t hear anything through out the night. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here. While the reception staff was welcoming, recommending a great luggage forwarding service, and the location is a convenient 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, the room upkeep was completely unacceptable. This falls on management, not the front desk.
We stayed in a Pokémon room, which was the smelliest, dirtiest room of our Japan trip. It constantly smelled like feet and wet dogs, likely trapped in the carpet from hosting families with kids. The bathroom also smelled like sewage. I reported the odor after the first night; staff said they’d address it, but the smell returned hours later.
The room was beaten up and dirty for an expensive hotel. I found broken outlets, loose faucets, scratched walls, dust in the corners, and multiple food stains on the sofas and carpet.
Amenities were also a letdown. Under a "green" policy, you must request items at check-in, but they were incredibly cheap. The slippers had no padding and felt like plastic bags. Housekeeping never replaced them, forcing me to reuse them because the carpet was too dirty to step on. Also, irons are treated as "borrowed" items that must be returned immediately instead of having one available per room.
Management: Remodel these Pokémon rooms. They take the most abuse from kids. Remove the dirty carpets, fix the broken fixtures, deep clean, and inspect them strictly between stays.
