In a hotel that aspires to an elegant, higher-end standard, the staff should be able to communicate at least in English, or in any European language. Unfortunately, communication here is practically impossible without using Google Translate. The problem becomes even more apparent in the afternoon, when the daytime staff leave and are replaced by other employees who are unable to provide even basic information or handle simple requests. This is one of those hotels that looks very promising at first glance but turns out to be deeply disappointing in reality. The property clearly aspires to be an elegant hotel, yet the level of organization and service falls far below that ambition. From the very beginning, the staff appeared confused and unprepared. We were initially taken to the wrong room, only for the staff to realize afterward that we were not assigned to that room. Situations like this should not happen in a hotel of this category. The internet connection is unreliable and frequently freezes, which further complicates the stay. The biggest disappointment, however, was the gym. The presence of a gym was one of the key reasons we chose this hotel. In reality, the “gym” consists of two random, poorly maintained machines — a bicycle and a treadmill — which absolutely do not meet the standards one would expect from a hotel positioning itself in a higher category. All the staff that we came across were the best we’d ever encountered. So helpful and courteous Room was a good size and clean .

No internet whatsoever or resort Wi fi. And resort maintenance man could still not fix the issue. Actually left a day early. Staff 10/10 though.

Most hotels in Luang Prabang are in the old French Quarters. Manyo is a 10 minute til-tuk or shuttle ride away. A bit less convenient, but also much quieter. That is what we were looking for, and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They arranged for private transportation to the waterfalls at a competitive price, and provided a free shuttle back to the airport when we left. If we ever returned to Luang Prabang, this is where we would stay.
