As a solo traveller this place exceeded my expectations. The room was very cozy, bathroom very chic and practical and the location was amazing. It’s right at the start of the older cobblestoned dimly lit area and coming home after dinner was really a treat walking the streets.

MIRU Kyoto Gion is the best hotel we can ask for. It is so new, clean, spacious, quiet and beautifully designed and truly shows the Japanese aesthetics in a very modern way. It is in the center of Gion, very close to all the restaurants and shops, but away from the crowds. So the hotel is very quiet. It is also close to subway stations and bus stations. So it is very convenient to get around. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We liked MIRU hotel so much that we wished we could stay there longer. We strongly recommend MIRU Kyoto Gion to anyone who will visit Kyoto.

My stay in Kyoto was made unforgettable by this beautiful hotel, which perfectly blended traditional Japanese charm with modern comfort. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt good and refined, offering a welcome escape from the busy streets of the city. The location was ideal close to many of Kyoto’s most famous attractions, yet tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxing. After long days of sightseeing, returning to such a peaceful environment was a real luxury. Overall, this hotel captures the essence of Kyoto: elegant, tranquil, and deeply rooted in tradition. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in one of Japan’s most historic cities.
