Solo stay

There is no restaurant or bar onsite, instead they have vending machines. Parking is not great as spaces are limited and local parking is difficult, the hotel and rooms were great but the lack of amenities lets it down.

Grim hotel. They have closed the bar completely and now sell outrageously priced snacks and drinks in vending machines. The hotel was infested with rats. They were running around by the breakfast area and terrace. I told the staff and they just nodded. Odd. Avoid it if you can.

I expected much better from a 4-star hotel. While the room was spacious and the staff were friendly, the cleanliness was unacceptable. Dust was everywhere, the windows had residue from previous cleanings, the carpets were heavily stained, and there were obvious unfinished repairs. The plastic mattress covers made the beds hot and uncomfortable, and the air conditioner started with a loud roaring noise every time it turned on. Self check-in/out is fine, but cutting costs should never come at the expense of cleanliness and basic comfort. Overall, this did not feel like a 4-star hotel. Won’t go back!

This was a very lovely stay. It was clean, had all amenities listed, friendly staff, and it is very near the tram stop for adventuring into the city! We will stay here again.

I loved XO Hotel Park West. Their check in process was easy with self check-in, it was also set up to deal with lots of people arriving at once. The staff were super helpful. There was so much space for people to just chill and relax in groups in two separate areas. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet. Everything was clean. The amenities were good. First place I have stayed that has conditioner. The location was pretty good. It was about a 10 minute walk, normally easy walk, from/to Sloterdijk station (a bit brutal with luggage and 34 degrees in the heatwave). So, it was easy to get from Schipol to Sloterdijk (maybe 5 minutes). It was a similar time to get to Amsterdam Centraaal. If I ever make my way back to Amsterdam, I would definitely stay here again.

Close to Sloterdijk, but an old property. Not necessary to take a tram 19 if you can walk. Just 6 minutes walk. Don’t do late check out as it’s €10 per hour.
