I’ve given 5 stars because of the way the receptionist welcomed us and because of her help when I thought I’d lost my room key. It turned out that I didn’t lose it, I’d just misplaced it but she was just brilliant and I would like my comments and thanks passed on to her.

The hotel was so bad that we didn't even get out of the car.
When we arrived after a long drive there were a number of shady looking characters hanging out in the car park and when we arrived one of then paid particular attention to our car and the baggage that we had in side. As a family we did not feel safe there even to the extent that we didn't want to get out of the car to tell the reception staff that we would not be staying there. So we drove straight out and found another hotel with secure parking and generally a better feel about the place.

I arrived late and they refused to believe I had a booking and hung up the phone on me. I had to book a stay at the Ibis instead. Just awful service!

This is a basic hotel but fine for one night’s stop on a long journey. We have stayed here many times as it is so convenient for motorway, for reasonable priced fuel at the nearby supermarket and restaurants nearby. The bed is fine as is breakfast. You get what you pay for, it is inexpensive.
