The hotel itself was okay lovely grounds. My room (Helve) had a TV but no signal, the receptionist was helpful but couldn't sort it out. I ended up watching Netflix, certainly not what i wanted.

Air-conditioning sounded like a bucket of bolts the whole night when it was turned on, even when turned off it still made loud noises every 20-30min. Carpets were lifting in the main bedroom. Exterior flood lights from main buildings were constantly on and the blinds made no difference at all. Shower drain was not emptying correctly meaning that over the course of a 10min shower it filled with water. Room was clean at first glance but overall the quality was pretty poor. I unfortunately was not able to raise this to hotel staff as by the time we had got to our room it was close to 1am. Breakfast was pretty standard with a good variety of hot, cold and continental options.

The rooms were clean apart from under the sofa in the Trow ,not sure if would class the Horsin as a deluxe Superior room but did as required as required an adjoining room . The step into rhe bath in Trow is quite wide and both myself and my fiancee slipped as the bath mat moved while getting in . Still no warning signs that the water is hot at the sink . Breakfast was good the bowls keeping the cooked food hot could of been hotter and had to put the toast through twice to get it to my likeing . Staff were very good

Quiet location, and nice hotel!

Aston hall will always have a special place in our hearts as we got married here. On our recent stay we got to experience the new rooms/decor which is really well done. We stayed in the Marwood room which was originally 2 rooms that has now been made into 1 room. The en-suite toilet needs looking at, as it’s a bit smelly. Also maybe a blind in the hall so you can move from the bedroom to the sitting room freely without being on display. The food was really nice, we had the Sunday dinner then lots of small plates at night time. Cocktails were really good too for the price. The only downside over food was staff seemed to disappear for a while at a time. Not sure if this is because the restaurant and bar are a bit further away from each other now? But all good food and drink

A nice quiet hotel within fantastic grounds. Does need some updating … usb charge points. But a nice hotel if you are looking for somewhere quiet

My room was nice, food was lovely and staff incredibly friendly and helpful. It did feel like there was a shortage of staff in the evening and at breakfast ( long wait at the bar for the one member of staff to return from other activity) and had to clear my own breakfast table as no staff visible for quite a while and all tables either occupied or used. As I said, when I saw the staff they were lovely!
