The Ravel is a hidden gem in LIC. Great property with unique rooms. I enjoy the accommodations and convenience to Manhattan. Food options are sparse close by but you can find a few great spots with a short drive.

The staff was sort of helpful but it seemed their main priority was people there for a wedding all other guests were 2nd priority. Ravel is a Rave L for lounge like a rave party this is not suitable for children. You can’t use the pool because it is a club for adults a party hang out! There are 2 limited vending machine options only. No hotel food options. It’s not a glamorous style. But if you want off the beaten path and you are a minimalist it will work! The balcony view of queen bridge is amazing, uber is definitely needed. You can order food to the hotel. So it worked

Deceiving because the pool is not included in your stay and is a separate entity that throws late night events so you won't be able to go to sleep until after 2am. The staff was very rude and unknowledgable. They will over sell parking and if there is no parking available you have to try and find street parking. BTW no standing means no parking so don't get a $120 ticket like we did AFTER paying $35 for parking that we didn't get to use. We ended up paying for Uber so we didn't lose our space or walking to our destinations. Absolutely don't recommend this hotel.
