The first-floor bathroom smelled terrible, and the odour permeated the entire room. I reported the issue to the staff and asked for their assistance. I believe they simply sprayed some air freshener, but the problem persisted. We were exhausted from following up further.

The location is helpful if catching coaches or trains elsewhere- Marseille St Charles station is within walking distance. However it's about 15 to 20 minute walk to the old port.The rooms are clean and Japanese themed in the bathroom. Ie toilets with multiple functions, Japanese style baths. The breakfast was basic but good.

The first room we were given had been smoked in, but after checking the staff moved us to a different room - which was much better. The toilet reminded us of a plane toilet, slightly claustrophobic, but usable - shower was excellent.
