Convenient location. Many nearby restaurants and shops. However, will need car to go to best beaches but street parking was found every night. Overall a nice property to stay and take advantage of what downtown Christiansted has to offer. The town does have a couple of homeless individuals lurking around and that may make one feel a little bit exposed. Nevertheless, property is gated and only accessible with key cards. Just keep up your location and surrounding awareness like you would on any given vacation overseas and you’ll be fine.

Staff was very good. Only issue was parking due to being so close to being next to downtown. Bartender laysha was amazing as well

Leaving five stars, because I really liked this hotel, and would like to see it succeed. My wife and I stayed here for one week from Apr. 28 to May. 5. The hotel itself is a historic stone building. Purportedly the building has been around since the 1600s, when it was used as a company office and sleeping quarters by the Danish West India Company. The building was recently given a 17 million dollar renovation with repairs, replacements, and additions to turn it into a functional hotel. Many original pieces of the building are thankfully preserved, such as the old stone staircases. There is a small piano bar but it was not open during our stay and only open during peak seasons. We enjoyed the beautiful garden-walled saltwater pool, the free guest laundry, the historic feel and the walkabilty to downtown Christiansted. We found the staff friendly and helpful. We wished there was more history immersion. It felt sparse. The main issue we had were that the hotel is built directly across the street from "Levels" nightclub. This nightclub played music so loud that it shook our room and we could hear every single note. The nightclub did not stop and ran until 4am on friday and saturday, and 12am on sunday. Drunken patrons filled the street and were also screaming and yelling. We got almost zero sleep these nights. It was miserable. I had no idea there was a nightclub when I booked. The front desk / hotel manager did their best make it up to me for the issue and I am thankful.

The good thing is that is walking distance from boardwalk and all the top restaurants nearby. We never had room cleaning during the stay of 3 nights and the pool never was cleaned. On weekend people gather in the pool in loud speaking up to midnight and nobody from staff took action on this. If you are looking for a good sleep have to wear ear protection.

Really makes this hotel nice is that it’s in the middle of downtown St. Croix. It’s near the water taxi. It’s near the restaurants. It’s very close to everything so it’s location location location. Now some of the issues I had with the hotel… that it is supposed to have been remodeled it still looks quite aged. Also, the pool is small. The associates I wouldn’t say they were friendly. They weren’t mean, but they wasn’t overly friendly either they were there to answer your questions but that’s it. I didn’t have a problem with my stay. I just believe it was a mid 6.5 or seven if you wanted that type of rating.
