Property is outdated! Some staff were friendly others always asked for tips all the time. Location is strategic, on the beach and on the strip with plenty of food choices. Public transportation is literally in front of the hotel to take you downtown for $2.70.

Overall, we had a good stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba, with a few issues. At check-in, our room was in a hallway with a strong cigarette smell, despite smoking being prohibited. We also saw smoking around the pool, which was disappointing. The manager quickly moved us to a better room, which we appreciated. The beach in front of the hotel wasn’t great for swimming due to murky water and algae, likely from nearby boats. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent—5 stars with a great variety of fresh food. The staff were friendly, the room was clean after the move, and the location is very convenient. The view is amazing, the pool was ok. They need to upgrade the pool area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider returning, location, and good service.
