Clean and tidy. Boutique feel. Rooms are compact. Nice touch to provide a bottle of water in the room.

Solo stay

Room very small, although very clean. Hardly any room around the bed. No chair. Shower very erratic, freezing cold one minute, scalding another. Apart from the staff member who checked me in, I was ignored every time I passed the reception post. Staff couldn’t be bothered even to say good morning. Very disappointing.

We stayed three nights at Ibis Styles Gloucester after abandoning our reservation at the EasyHotel at Lexham Gardens. The Ibis was close by and reasonable. We were very pleasantly surprised. From the moment you enter you are greeted warmly and sincerely by the young staff and quickly assigned your room. Coffee and beverages are available in the large comfortable lobby. I would take off 1/2 star for the room size, but for the price I wouldn't. It is a bit of a tight fit. The bathroom and shower was great. You can also open the window for fresh air. We really enjoyed our stay, and given the location it's an all round winner.

Staff were excellent, very friendly & helpful. No issues with room just traffic noise was difficult for a lite sleeper, would request not to be over road next time.
