Room is good size and comfortable. Aircon didn’t work very well. Some reception staff were good but one, possibly new, didn’t seem to know what to do. We’ve stayed before and it’s very handy for the theatre with plenty of parking at reasonable cost. We didn’t have breakfast this time as we’ve eaten there before and it was dreadful. We had tea in the bar while waiting for checkin but were driven out by the awful muzac and the constant thudding, headache inducing beat in every song. Unfortunately you could also hear it in the nearby sitting room. Guests should be aware that there are no lifts and frequent short flights of steps with no ramps.

Not a luxury hotel by any standards. Only good thing about it is location if you want to visit Stratford up on Avon and surroundings areas. Upgrade we bought not available. Food above average. I suppose it’s actually an ok hotel but sells itself as something much more so you naturally come away disappointed and dissatisfied.

Yes I had a great stay sadly I wasn’t able to do the dining experience or my breakfast but nevertheless clean sheets fantastic bed maybe just a little bit better on the tea and coffee side. I didn’t want to bother anybody for the fresh milk that should be in the fridge but all in all fantastic day, thank you

Everything was fine, friendly, helpful staff, good room, well fur is her. Only a few niggles - a pancake shower is not user friendly for a Quick shower, no USB sockets in the room, room service after 9pm was rather limited.

Unfortunately the air conditioning was broken and there was no one on site to take a look at it. As there was a fan in the room, we assume the air con wasn’t working. We had a good welcome at reception. We were less impressed by there being no bar snacks/crisps at the bar on a Saturday night. The service was slow but they did apologise. The food in the dining room was very average. The pool was great. For the £214 we paid for the night (bedroom only) and it being part of the MacDonald group, we did expect better. It was a very convenient location.

Wonderful place to stay Staff were helpful and welcoming. Room was spacious ,comfortable and clean. Breakfast really set us up for the day

We were pleased with the spacious room and superking bed. The breakfast was adequate but lacked a choice of cereals and fruit considering the £24 price tag. Overall we were comfortable and happy with our stay.

We were glad we opted for an upgrade to a room in the Manor House. A lovely room. Breakfast was buffet but plenty of choices and coffee was okay. Service good. We visited the pool and steam and sauna which although obviously in need of a refurbish we still enjoyed. The bar and lounge areas were comfortable. Our only problem, which was quite major for us, was Reception. My husband is disabled and we are both elderly, but when we asked for our bags to be brought down to Reception the Receptionist told us that the staff were all too busy as was she. In the event we left our bags in the room, and delayed our onward journey for an hour to help with our request. Room 2 has steep and shallow stairs that we couldn’t have managed with cases, overall left a very unpleasant taste after an otherwise enjoyable stay. I have asked for the Manager’s email or to get in touch privately but no joy.
