Friendly and helpful welcoming staff. We also really like that be could rent bicycles for free. Breakfast was not the best. It seemed like both mornings our food was cold. The room was very nice and a great value for the money.

I stayed here before in March and despite my room being double booked the manager made suitable arrangements for me. I arrived again on 19 Dec 2019 and what was apparent was there was a lack of leadership. There was no obvious capable person in charge and English speaking was quite poor. For the first two days, I advised reception 4 times about their being no hot water and no water pressure for my family to shower in comfort. Of course the staff were apologetic and kept telling me '5 minutes', '5 minutes'. It was hours until the problem was resolved on the first day and then we had the same problem the next day. When I came to check out there was confusion over my Expedia booking and staff were having a problem recognising my booking number. They got there in the end. On the dry days the cushions weren't put out in the sun loungers by the pool attendant. The exteria of the building needs some wood treatment and is looking a bit tired. The breakfast staff were the same as before and the breakfast was adequate. I write this review because I fear that if the owner does not appoint an efficient and capable manager quickly who knows about the complete running of a hotel business, then I cannot see the villa/Hotel giving a good return on investment. There won't be the repeat customers and a few bad reviews will be damaging. The young Vietnamese woman on the desk some days was very sweet and pleasant. All the male members of staff didn't appear to know what they were doing.

As always in Vietnam, staff helpful and courteous. A reasonable walki nto the Old City, but free pushbikes available. Great pool😏 Comfortable room with view of pool and river. Palm trees outside our window made a perfect setting

Amazing place, especially room 304 on rhe top corner. Quiet, clean, grest shower and bath in room, nice breakfast but pretty basic. Massage available downstairs for very resonable price. 30 min slow walk to town, 1 hour to the coconut boats, free use of bikes if you fancy riding. Hotel can organise local trips and airport transfers for good price as well. Very happy with our stay and would do this again.

Excellent hotel, the manager and his family are caring, thoughtful and extremely accommodating. Hotel itself is lovely, we really admired the stunning wooden panelling and detail, and plantation-style setting among the rice paddies. It has a gorgeous pool, each room is beautiful with comfortable beds and huge bathtubs (excellent after a rainy day out!) We enjoyed the breakfast every day. The hotel is around 2km from the old town, we walked many times, and a cab ride was only AUD$1.50. Would definately stay here again, highly recommend this hotel. 5 stars ⭐️

The property and rooms are beautiful. We had a family room, which was actually two rooms separated by a door with two very large twin beds in one room and a queen bed in the other. IThe beds were very comfortable. Everything was immaculate. The staff, especially Mr. River, could not have been more helpful. He answered our multitude of questions and was extremely responsive and helpful. All of the staff were friendly, eager to help, and very available. The hotel was a welcome reprieve from the craziness of old town, and we looked forward to returning here at the end of the day. Thank you so much for a fabulous day. So far this is our favorite place we have stayed in Vietnam.

We planned to stay a week..... and stayed two! Absolutely amazing place. Amazing staff. Beautiful surroundings. Great room service. Clean rooms. However- breakfast was meh! Too repetitive apart from that. It’s the best place in HioAn.

Had a good 3 day stay at the River Palms. staff are a bit shy because their english isnt so good so are probably abit gun shy but if you make the effort they are a great group that tries hard to please. Its a smaller hotel so choice for breakfast is limited but we never had a problem with freshness or ample variety. Easy walking distance to Ancient Town. Beware of traffic on this main road can be overwhelming starting early in the morning. also the roosters next door start early at about 4 am and they put their dog out in the middle of the night every night and he barks incessently for over an hour. I actually felt sorry for the poor thing. none of this is the hotels fault but it is worth noting if you are looking for peace and quiet. The hotel and grounds are kept very clean and rooms are ample size. The rooms could use a box of tissues, the tub is not anchored down so you have to be extremely careful you dont tip the whole thing over if you get in. i think someone must have grabbed for their life as the towel rack is hanging pulled out of the wall and so towels are always placed on the bed. Lighting could use a bit more intensity in the bathroom - fairly dark in there.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Breakfasts were very good. Reception staff assisted with tours, taxi' s and my trip from the airport as well as my trip to DaLat. The hotel was a little out of town but just a couple of dollars by taxi, so the surrounds of the hotel were quiet and lush.

Great hotel, very accommodating staff. They upgraded my room so I could be on a higher floor. Breakfast was okay.
