Great location. There were so many cafes and restaurants nearby. The weekend food market was a great with so much variety. Staff were really great, especially Nicola (the artist). The room was a bit rundown and needs to be renovated. There was a bit of a challenge with the shower drain though, but over all our stay was comfortable enough for a family of 4.

We booked the Hotel Odessa for a 4-night stay in early April. With two kids in tow, our goal was to find an affordable option with room for everyone in a part of Paris that would allow us to access all the sights without necessarily being in the most popular districts. My wife and I had stayed in Montparnasse when we previously visited Paris, so we had an idea of the style of the neighborhood, but the Hotel Odessa was still a pleasant surprise for us. It checked all the right boxes - easy access to the Metro, comfortable, clean, and situated in a lively neighborhood with all the Parisian charms. On separate days, we had a farmers' market set up right in front of us, followed by a local artists collective. Hotel Odessa was a plus for our visit and I would recommend it to others.

Property location is amazing!! We stayed with toddlers and the hotel was fine. The lift is very small if you have a stroller. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful! Unfortunately they were undergoing construction on the building and next door so it’s very loud and you couldn’t see out the window which I love to do in Paris. Overall it was good and I would stay again for a family of four!

First of all, the positives: the staff are quite friendly and accommodating and the hotel is conveniently located very close to Gare de Paris-Montparnasse and metro stations. Unfortunately, like many small independently-owned hotels, it’s not the most comfortable place to stay. The bed was fine, but the walls were not soundproofed . I could hear conversations in the room next door and even the sound of someone using the toilet in the room next door. Thankfully, I had silicon earplugs with me, or I wouldn’t have been able to sleep. The bathroom had been renovated, but the shower was cramped and the water pressure was very weak. The worst, however, was there were no amenities … no tissues (except for toilet tissue), no kettle to boil water for tea or coffee (which, obviously were also not provided). The hotel doesn’t even provide a complimentary bottle of water. That’s not an environmental choice either, as there’s no complimentary water fountain or service downstairs in the lobby either. The photos provided on Hotels.com for the room I reserved do not correspond at all to the room I had. The cute balcony is a nice eye-catcher, but it wasn’t in my room. Despite a very pleasant staff at the hotel, this experience was not worth the price paid.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They are under sonstruction with scaffolding so the balconies were unavailable but I imagine once fixed they’ll be much more attractive. Good for the price. Great location. Friendly staff. Loved Rocket!

The hotel is an excellent location, the neighborhood is filled with different restaurants and super convenient for going to any part of the city. We booked for the location over the actual rooms. The hotel is under some renovation until April 2026, so our balcony room was covered and there were workers during the day. I do wish the rooms were a little nicer, the carpets seem really dirty but the staff and the overall experience was wonderful. The showers were hot and water pressure was great, just some small details could be cleaner or refreshed. There is an elevator for those on the higher floors and again, the staff are super nice.
