We first stayed at the Park Hyatt shortly after it opened and left with wonderful memories, so returning felt like a natural choice. This time around, however, the experience wasn't quite as polished. Attention to detail has slipped in certain areas, and some parts of the property are in need of maintenance, small things, perhaps, but noticeable to guests who care about their surroundings.
We appreciate that hotels operate under constant pressure with a continuous flow of arrivals and departures, and we say this not to cause a stir but because we hold this property to a high standard, one it has met before. It was disappointing that a couple of members of management seemed to receive our feedback defensively rather than constructively. Feedback from returning guests who pay close attention to detail is genuinely valuable, and we hope it's taken in the spirit it was intended.
That said, we want to end on a very positive note, because the people truly made this stay. Pauline, Chaa, Net, and Billy were absolutely outstanding, warm, attentive, and consistently professional. They understood our needs without us having to repeat ourselves, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. They are a real credit to the Park Hyatt team.
