I can’t count the times I have stayed at this property. Before they remodeled it was my favorite stay in Miami Beach. We have come a few times after the remodel but this last time was a terrible experience. I travel with my elderly mother and to say we have spent a small fortune here is an understatement.
I usually request late checkouts bc my flight tends to be later in the day. Traveling with an elderly parent is difficult. This time when I requested it from a Melanie Rodriguez management they claimed they could not.
My mother was in the middle of a massage at their spa and I had to get her back in the room to change but instead they wanted her changing in the spa which is fine when you’re not disabled, but it creates a problem when you are. I had only asked for a two hour window since it would have taken my mother that long to be ready. This was the worst 10 thousand spent. As a music artist and public figure I routinely deal with hotels, and know what is expected from them. I will be sure to inform the proper authorities. We will likely switch to the St Regis.
