Very nice and clean

The Marksman Motor Inn is in a great location, making it convenient for accessing local amenities and attractions. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay. Parking can be challenging, as onsite parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the car park is full, guests need to park on the main road, which can be quite busy. My main concern was during check-in. I was asked to write my credit card details on a piece of paper for the $100 room bond. I was not comfortable providing my card details in this manner and requested that the bond be processed through the EFTPOS machine instead. Although there were some technical difficulties initially, the machine eventually worked, and the bond was processed securely. As we were leaving early in the morning, we were unable to locate a key drop box, so we left the room key on the bench inside the room. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not particularly welcoming during our stay. A warmer and more customer-focused approach at reception would have made a positive difference to the overall experience. Overall, the location and cleanliness were definite positives, but improvements in customer service, parking availability, and check-in procedures would enhance the guest experience.

Lovely staff, clean room, fridge only set on FREEZE, nowhere to wash dishes after meals, but staff did this next day.

Good location for frequent buses to city. Ample free parking. Typical old style motor inn: functional but in need of an update. Otherwise OK

More parking would be helpful Inconsiderate people parking in front of vehicles over night blocking cars in. Totally unsatisfactory when needing to get the early ferry.

Clean room and very comfortable bed. Great location, easy to walk down to restaurants, stores and Mount Victoria Park. Decent amount of onsite parking too. Kitchenette had everything you would need.

Basic facilities, tidy, everything works, polite staff. Location and free parking are a huge plus.
