Everything you see online is pretty spot on. The rooms are pretty clean and the views are amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is good. The beach was fun although it was a lot seaweed.

I am an AVID traveler. I have been to Mexico at least 5 times, this is my first time staying at a Royalton Chic Property. I planned this trip as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday. We both left extremely disappointed. I did not want to mention anything during our stay because the issues happened progressively and due to the limited amount of time we had, we just wanted to enjoy what we could. First, The room had a very odd smell. One of our mirrors near the wall had existing splatters on it as if the mirror needed to be replaced? We couldn’t even use it. Also with Guest Services, I had major issue with the Birthday Package I purchased for my boyfriend. You guys asked me what color balloons, I requested red and black. The balloons provided were pink and yellow. He is a man, so this was sad. I also requested everything to be present (cake and sparkling wine) on arrival so we had time throughout our stay to eat it. The cake and wine did not arrive until 8pm the day before check out. The cake also said my name and not the person who’s birthday it was (my boyfriend) as well as the fruit on top of the cake had mold all over it so we couldn’t even eat it. So in entirety paying the extra 165 USD for the Birthday Package was a true waste of money. It saddened me to see how the surprise failed because I had worked so diligently prior to arrival to make it happen. Lastly, I also paid extra for Diamond Club, however we were limited access -

When we arrived we were advised that we book any amenities due to a party of 300 booking for that weekend we arrived. When we got to our room, we were given twin beds and not a queen bed like I booked. Food was okay, variety for all meal times but some food was bland and not very appetizing. Chopstick restaurant was a 0/10, food was so salty, uncooked and service was not good. Other restaurants were really good especially Hunter Steakhouse. It was about 200 more each day just for diamond club. Pool was really good, not much seaweed on the beach. I expected more from this resort since it was trending on social media.

Pros: Everything in one building so no long walks. Food from most restaurants was delicious. Drinks get the job done. Don’t do the diamond club not worth it (plenty of beach chairs and pool chairs). Got the Luxury Suite Ocean Front and room/view was amazing. Party resort so activities is plentiful and music is decent (pop/hiphop) Low Sargassum at the beach and not unbearable. Cons: Check In was horrendous. Arrived at 2:15, finally saw a rep at 2:30 (room wasn’t ready so I had to come back at 3p). Room still wasn’t ready by 3p $300 resort credit is a scam. It’s simply a coupon booklet with discounts so you still have to spend money. False advertising 101. Don’t bother complaining, none of the managers did anything to fix this. Being that everything is in one building the elevators can be a while.

Hotel was very clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The room was beautiful. The balcony view was amazing. Breakfast always good. Ate at the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant, both excellent

The Royalton Chic is my favorite hotel to stay at in Cancun. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The property is beautiful and clean. The food at the restaurants is always delicious and the rooms are gorgeous.

Will be coming back.

Good hotel for a quick weekend getaway. The staff were friendly and the drinks (diamond club) premium. However, the bed was uncomfortable and the food quality was poor.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Royalton CHIC Cancun, and the biggest reason was the incredible staff. Every employee we met was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. A special thank you to our butlers, Esteban and Rosa, who went above and beyond every day. They handled reservations, checked on us regularly, and made our stay much smoother. They are a true asset to the resort. The highlight of our trip was La Hacienda. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was excellent, and the service was exactly what dining at a quality restaurant should feel like. Ronny provided exceptional service and made every meal memorable. The rooms were comfortable, housekeeping did a great job, and the beach is beautiful. The reason I cannot give five stars is the resort’s constant focus on upselling. Too many experiences and upgrades require an extra charge, making the all-inclusive experience feel less inclusive than it should. That philosophy takes away from an otherwise excellent vacation. The daytime entertainment was average, while the nighttime entertainment was fun but repetitive after a few days. We also noticed a sewer-like odor from the water after it had been running briefly, something management should investigate. Overall, the outstanding employees are what make this resort special. Addressing these issues would easily make this a five-star experience.
