We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Excelsior!! The hotel was very close to the train station and the staff were especially welcoming and friendly!! The room was beautifully maintained and clean, and we even had a small balcony that allowed us to enjoy the warm air of the French Riviera!!

We loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

Hôtel Excelsior is genuinely ideal for anyone’s city break in Nice. The staff are lovely, attentive, and will do their very best to assist you with any issues. The pool is delightful, a great place to unwind, and although we didn’t dine at the hotel, I have no doubt that the restaurant is also lovely. The hotel’s lift is relatively small, and not great for more than 2 people, but the stairs are clean, spacious, easy access, and very much part of the hotel’s hallways, not in a separate area. As for the rooms, they were simply perfect! We booked two separate rooms for a party of 4, and they were kind enough to position us perfectly next door to each other! We had two large beds, very comfortable, and no trouble for a great night’s sleep, a large and clean bathroom with a wonderful shower, and a super balcony with a great view of the life of the city below. We also had a mini fridge with price list, a safe, and a full wardrobe with hangers. Plenty of plug space and nice warm lights right by the beds as well. The rooms feel homely, with nice art and warmth, but still a touch of luxury. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Literally a stone’s throw away from Nice-Ville station, and a very walkable 20 minutes from Old Nice, the loveliest area of the city, and the beaches. Not far at all from the tram line to the airport either, and the station has a car hire centre right next door. I can’t recommend Hôtel Excelsior enough for any Côte d’Azur break, we’ll be back for sure!

Pros: - Great location - Air con - Quiet - Comfy beds Cons: - Rooms need a refurb, a bit tired - Asked reception for an extra pillow, the clerk told us he was finishing his shift but would pass it on. We asked again but never got the pillow - TV remote didn’t work properly and we could only get about 7 terrestrial channels - We had to ask to get the room cleaned, it hadn’t been done

A decent hotel in an extremely convenient location. Good size rooms and friendly and helpful staff.

Our full-day group tour was cancelled owing to some logistics issues but the front desk staff person when we checked-in was a BIG BIG help to us. He did 2 key things that I truly appreciate and am thankful for 1. He immediately offered to arrange tours via alternate vendors and although everyone was full, I give him credit for at least trying 2. He suggested "Plan B" to help us still do some sightseeing and went out of the way to hand draw a map of key places and walkways in Cannes and Monaco to help us do meaningful sightseeing. He also guided us to stay away from Ezes given the extreme heat wave and we appreciate that

Fabulous location. Lovely friendly , helpful staff. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags and enjoy the facilities whilst awaiting check in . Lovely cool free flavoured water in reception bd coffee free of charge . Decent breakfast. Only negative was that room 102 was right above several air con units so noisy when French door open . Fridge in room . Walking distance two mins to train station and shops and bars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great experience! We had the 4 person room on the top floor and it was perfect! Was quiet, great beds and pillows, balcony view- great location!
