Hotel closed without notifying us. We turned up and the hotel was closed. We were then fined £100 for being in their car park whilst arranging alternative accommodation.

Staff were very efficient, but also very pleasant and helpful. Perfect combination. Breakfast was very good - the usual HI buffet, well cooked, but never overcooked. Great choice. Good sty. We would return.

Got room service, they forst gave me the wrong thing and also overcharged me for it and told me I could get refunded at reception, then at reception they said as the people who were workingthe night before had gone home they couldn't do anything. Extremely disappointing to be forced to pay for something I didn't want

The check in was extremely slow, about 25 minutes total, the guy on reception kept helping other people while serving us which left us stood there for ages at midnight tired not behind helped. The room was dirty, I moved one of the twin beds over to make a double and it was filthy underneath. There were hairs in the bath and drains and the room was very dated.

Great location and easy reach of the Etihad The room was a little noisy as we had a room at the beginning of a corridor but otherwise great service and selection of food

Our stay at the holiday in was 5*. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. The staff on reception were very helpful and accommodating. Parking was onsite and not expensive. It was only 5 mins walk from the nearest tram stop and 2 miles into Manchester itself. Overall very happy and would stay here again.
