Sinks don't drain, which makes me think they don't get cleaned, otherwise they'd be aware. Otherwise OK.

A very clean place to stay in Idaho Springs. Good pricing and friendly staff. Will certainly stay there again.

The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. The facility is beginning to show its age and lack of modern amenities. The small window air conditioner was not able to keep up with warm summer temperatures. The door lock appeared to have been damaged from the outside and it did not require a key to enter (it was able to be locked from the inside). The room and the property were very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. It will never be mistaken for a Hilton, but was quite satisfactory for an inexpensive overnight stay.

The facility was overbooked, which we only found out after a long drive when we arrived at the motel. Instead of honoring our reservation, they sent us to a nearby motel, where the staff was unfriendly and showed no interest in helping us. We also had to pay a $100 deposit, which the other motel initially refused to return because Columbia Inn had not covered the cost of our stay. We had to spend additional time resolving this issue ourselves. This was the final stop on our trip, and unfortunately it was by far the worst experience of the entire journey—both in terms of the accommodation and the way we were treated. If you want a hassle-free stay, I recommend avoiding this place, as well as H&H Motor Lodge

Great stop on a night through town. Walking distance to main entertainment/restaurant area.

I had srayed here last year sane time! The only reason I stayed in Idaho Springs was to stay at this location because of past experience! I was attending an event in Dillon. I had planned 2 nights. When I arrived at the property Sam informed.me they had no rooms ( now mind you i had already been charged for 1 night) and that he had purchased a night for us over at the Argo! Wow! Our room athe the Argo was horrible! TV was busted, tiles were not attached in the rusted bathroom! Outside couch looked horrendous! Still.cant wrap my head around the whole deal!

Room was unkept and lacking basic essentials with no resolution to the concerns. Disappointed.

If you are looking to book the cottage, READ THIS FIRST! I was wary to book here to begin with because it had very mixed reviews, some also abiut the same experience with the cottage, but the price was decent and the area was great. I got there around 8PM and was greeted by the owner Sam but right when I said my name he started to go on and on about Hotels.com; the cottage isn't available, the price to book it is way lower than he would ever consider and so and and so forth. I asked why I wasn't notified so I could make other plans and he just shrugged. I was reserved a room but he would give me a check if I didn't want it. Due to the time, and it being a holiday weekend, I didn't have other options. I took the room and was then told that there is no TV, no WiFi and I booked a King but this was two Queens. About the property; very small parking area, quiet, room is small, there is a TV but no service to it, the mattresses and pillows are either old or cheap, the bathroom is small, provided products are shampoo, lotion and bar of soap, the water just gets warm, the shower head is very old so you have to stand pretty much directly under it, the sink is outside of the bathroom and no counter space, the AC is a wall unit and works decently, there is a fridge, microwave and a small coffee bar but we used none.

Good location, nice staff upon check-in, and more affordable, but an older place in need of some updates and a dirty feel in general to the room. You get what you pay for.
