Great location. Friendly staff. Breakfast good. However, no aircon, I was placed for my 3 day stay on the top floor, it was like a furnace, they did provided 2 fans, but it was too hot to sleep, lower levels felt cooler. Also to note, there is no restaurant for an evening meal, not really an issue as it is so close to the Centre of Oxford.

Room smelt of drains and sewage. Air conditioning not working. Car park very small. Had to leave car keys at the desk so staff can move cars as had to park in front of one another

Pleasant staff. Breakfast options were just about average but not worth the additional cost. A Historic old building so obviously no aircon... but at the hight of a hot summer the room temp was V Hot

We stayed in Oxford on one of the hottest weeks of the year. We were so lucky that we were staying in a separate building behind the hotel and had air conditioning. The rest of the hotel did not and this caused a lot of problems. Our room was nice - appeared to be accessible as lots of hand rails and emergency cord in shower. It was, however, very noisy. People above sounded like elephants! Be aware that there is a 12.5% service charge on drinks. This is not anywhere on the drinks menu. Staff very nice, although appeared to make life difficult fro themselves when they decided to tell guests that the air con was broken. Guests soon discovered there wasn't actually any air con to break! Nice location and easy access to Oxford.

Staff had limited interest and energy to assist at the front desk. Chief unsatisfactory aspect was no air conditioning and the summers there are sweltering. They gave us a fan that was not a help at all, particularly because the windows did not open more than an inch. The lack of air conditioning is no where on the web site. This did not seem like a four star hotel.
