The room was a joke. It's being advertised and charged as a double room but the room and bathroom were borderline unusable as they were so small.
There's no air conditioning and in 30 degree heat you can't open the windows as there's a nightclub directly outside that blares out music until 3.00 a.m.
To add insult when I complained the next morning, it transpires the hotel are aware of the noise problem and still put people in the rooms. Disgraceful.

No working air-conditioning and no way to open the window during high temperatures outside. It was torture. The room was tiny but adequate for a short stay.

The was a student nightclub opposite the music started about 11:30 and went on for hours
When I mentioned it to reception the next morning they said next time you can ask to be on the back of the hotel….. I said would it not have made more sense to put guests on the back of the hotel?
Also, the hotel should be having talks with the bar because clearly all the doors were open and it was noise pollution. If you want a good night sleep I wouldn’t stay here.

Room was very small. Your knees hit the wall when you sat on the loo. The shower had a step into it and you have to open the bathroom door to be able to dry yourself as there’s no room if it’s closed. Difficult to move around if you have mobility issues but if it’s just for one night then it’s ok. Tv missing loads of free view channels too.

The staff are good and the hotel is clean. But if you want a decent room which isn't for a hamster, if you want any sort of air con or a fridge then this isn't for you. You need to make more obvious. Pet friendly sort of they let you in and them in the room, not really anywhere for them to go to the toilet and no air con not good for them..

MagandangSolo stay
I needed somewhere to stay for one night whilst attending a concert in Portsmouth. For a one night stay I usually turn to Travelodge or Premier Inn. They were both unavailable so I booked the Ibis at a cost of £130.00 for the night.
The check-in was quite slow. It took the sfatt quite a while to deal with other customers. My room was clean but tiny. There was no room to move around. The batrhroom was the tiniest I have ever experienced. I am. thankfully, relatively slim (save for a bit of a middle aged man belly) but if I was much larger it would have been a struggle to manoevre myself onto the toilet or into the shower. You would need to be on very good terms with anyone you shared this room with and very forgiving of their bodily functions.
The bar area was more reminiscnent of a hostel than a hotel. The sitting area is not very comfortable with very basic tables and chairs and some sofas and a pool table. It was perfectly adequate but not a hint of anything more than basic. The beer was relatively cheap and the food was adequate.
It was absolutely fine for one night but I was expeting more for what I paid. In terms of room size and quality of the bar area, the Portsmouth central Travelodge ar Premier Inn are better choices.
