Stepping inside the church, one is instantly transported from the scorching Andalusian sun into a tranquil and solemn sanctuary. Looking up, the towering Gothic arches stretch and intertwine like colossal trees carved from stone. Sunlight streams through the stained-glass windows, casting colorful halos onto the mottled stone floor. At the deepest part of the nave is the breathtaking main altarpiece (Retablo Mayor). Countless gilded statues intricately depict biblical stories, shimmering in the faint candlelight, exuding a quiet yet powerful force. However, the most striking feature within the church is undoubtedly the Tomb of Columbus. Statues of the four Spanish kings—Castile, Leon, Aragon, and Navarre—bear the navigator's coffin aloft. Standing before the tomb, the stark contrast between the tumultuous age of maritime power and this serene hall evokes a profound sense of the ebb and flow of time and history.

Our day in Seville was almost perfect. The Cathedral and the Royal Alcázar were indescribably beautiful, and the architecture of the old town was magnificent. Its planning and layout were textbook perfect. Although the tickets for the Cathedral and the Royal Alcázar weren't cheap, they were definitely worth it! The Royal Alcázar had a very Indian feel to it, completely different from the mainstream European palace architectural style.

This is a great show, only ensure that you reach 60 mins before to get good seats and the ability to see the performers legs properly. Highly recommended to anyone looking to learn about the dance’s history and enjoy the performance as well.

The show lasted around an hour with a good showcase of the footsteps of Flamenco. The only problem is that for tickets booked via KLook, we will be assigned to the last few rows of the theatre so you may not be able to get a closer look. But booking via KLook is a good option for budget choices!

Nakuha ko ang Alcazar at Flamenco sa pamamagitan ng Klook pass. Maganda ito dahil nakatipid ako ng pera sa halip na i-book ang dalawang aktibidad nang paisa-isa. Malaki ang Alcazar, siguraduhing magdala ng pasaporte/ID at tubig tuwing tag-init dahil napakainit. Nasiyahan din kami sa Flamenco show sa aming huling araw sa Seville.

The meeting point was clear and the itinerary was well-planned. However, the departure was delayed, and the tour guide didn't show up at the designated time. The tour company also didn't proactively inform us, causing travelers to repeatedly go into the office to inquire. Eventually, another guide had to go find our actual guide, which was a very frustrating process. Aside from that, the itinerary itself ran very smoothly.

Visiting the Royal Alcázar of Seville is an unforgettable excursion filled with history and beauty. As you enter, you are surrounded by intricate Moorish architecture, delicate arches, and colorful tilework that reflect centuries of culture. The peaceful courtyards, like the famous Patio de las Doncellas, offer a calm escape from the city’s noise. Walking through the royal chambers, you can imagine the lives of kings and queens who once lived there. The lush gardens, filled with fountains, orange trees, and peacocks, make the experience even more magical. It is a perfect place to explore, learn, and admire timeless art and design.

Hindi ko talaga masabi kung gaano kaganda ang tour na ito. Ang aming guide na si Lorena ay palakaibigan at may sapat na kaalaman. Si Paco ay isang napakamaingat na driver. Ang buong tour ay maayos na pinaghandaan at iniskedyul. Talagang sulit at dapat subukan sa aking palagay kung bibisita ka sa Seville.

Ang Seville ay isang napakagandang lungsod. Puno ng kasaysayan at kultura. Makikita natin ang pinagsamang kultura ng Arabe-Hudyo-Kristiyano. Ang aming gabay na si Sama-el ay napakatalino sa mga lugar. Gustung-gusto ko ang Alcazar. Sulit sumama sa grupo. Ang napakainit na panahon (umaabot sa 43C) lang ang nagpapahirap nang kaunti sa walking tour. Kung hindi, binigyan ko ng 2-thumbs up ang tour na ito, lalo na kay Sama-el na aming gabay.
