What a wonderful experience, throughly enjoyed and would highly recommend this tour

The tour provides all the history and importance about the Geisha/Geiko and the district. The tempo is nice and you get a nice stroll around the area, plenty of room for questions too! You can really tell the guide is known in this part of culture. The part with the Maiko felt real personal and is an amazing touch to finish the tour. 10/10!

our guide, Akari Omiya was wonderful! she was familiar with the area and culture and even made recommendations for meals. the lovely Geisha performed two dances beautifully and the entire experience was moving! what a lovely evening

This was such an amazing and informative tour. Atari was so friendly and knowledgeable. The opportunity to ask questions to a maiko was so interesting. I learned so much on this tour. I couldn't recommend it enough for anybody going to Kyoto and want to learn more about geiko culture.

Major highlight of my trip to Kyoto. If you’re choosing just one experience to book while visiting, this would be my top recommendation. Our guide, Kenta, was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to thoughtfully answer all of our questions. The walk through the different districts was a wonderful way to understand and appreciate the rich history and traditions surrounding geishas, geikos, and maikos. Meeting a maiko in person was truly special and a moment I’ll never forget. She carried herself with such grace and elegance, and it felt like a real privilege to be able to ask her questions directly and learn about her life and training, as well as admire her dancing skills. The teahouse we were welcomed into was intimate and authentic, giving us what felt like a rare and genuine glimpse into traditional Japanese culture. This experience felt respectful, personal, and incredibly memorable: something I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kyoto.

this was an amazing experience! for anyone who wishes to learn more about geshia cultural and how to properly have an experience with one. this is definitely the way to do it. our guide was absolutely amazing!!!

We loved this tour! Our tour guide Akari was amazing. She was born and raised in Kyoto - her love for the city is apparent. She was passionate, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was delicious and our meeting with a Maiko is something we will never forget. She performed 2 dances and we got to ask her questions about her school and training. An amazing experience!

Very good and informative tour of the Geisha (Geiko) district by Ken-kun! The maiko performance with the tea at the end was an incredible experience, very highly recommended when visiting Kyoto.

interesting experience that can’t be replicated without a tour guide! we really enjoyed speaking to and watching the maiko dance
