Room was clean and the bathroom cleaner still. The room was a little small for me - I’m a big fella though. The bed was fine and very comfy. Only stayed one night but was perfectly comfortable and the place was very hospitable.

It is very convenient to shop and transportation. The hotel is old or not good condition. The shower room is not very useful, towels hanger is too high, the toilet is not good flashing and the water sound always heard near the bed’s headboard to make sleep so hard. This is my first time to use APA hotel, the check out time no one is front counter, I just drop the room card but no explanation at the first day. I do not think I will not use APA hotel again even very good rate.

The hotel location was excellent as it was a short walk to Yamagata station and close to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The service we received was also excellent. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Also, the floor we were on had a coin washer / dryer which was very convenient. Our room however was older and probably should be renovated. Our room was also a smoking room (no other rooms available and we were aware it was a smoking room at the the time of booking so this is not a criticism of the hotel). If you don’t smoke, don’t assume you’ll be able to just live with it like we did as it was really smoky.

Room very tiny and old, but not too far from station. Staff very nice. Very affordable .no onsen at this location.

Nice hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. Location is within 10 minutes walk of the train station. There are many restaurants nearby (including an excellent grilled fish restaurant) and a convenience store is located just across the street.

The hotel situated from a walkable distance from JR Yamagata train station. The checkin-checkout procedure was fast and smooth. We were informed that we can get free small breakfast (bread + drinks) each morning which was nice. The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable.

Perfect because near the station, many cafes and restaurants in he street where it is situated. Cozy room (I had a single - riptide wasn't big but I had everything I need). A little bit cold in winter, but you can turn on the air conditioner to heat the room. Breakfast is really lite: just coffee/tea and white bread with jam.

The room was very small with no closet and no place to put my luggage except on the floor to step over. The bathroom was clean but had only a soaking tub with side 2 1/2 feet from floor. Having knee problems, I was unable to step over the side and into the tub. Used sink to shampoo and bathe. I checked out after the first night and found hotel with regular tub. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee and bread rolls wrapped in cellophane.
