Fantastic service. Breakfast buffet best!

I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding the handling of my reservation. I booked a "City Family Two Bedroom Suite" over a month in advance. However, just one day prior to our arrival, I was informed by your office that the room was unavailable due to "water damage." The substitute accommodation provided at the Schweizerhof Zürich was utterly inadequate for a family of four. We were downgraded to a room of only 40 square meters with a single bathroom, which stands in stark contrast to the capacity and comfort of the suite we originally booked. Furthermore, the sofa bed provided was extremely uncomfortable, which severely impacted our family's sleep quality and overall experience during our four-day stay in Zurich. I find the timing of this notification—one day before arrival—highly suspicious. Given the suddenness of the cancellation, it is difficult to accept "water damage" as a credible explanation. It is hard not to conclude that this was a deliberate decision to release our confirmed room to another guest for a higher rate, at the expense of our family's holiday. As a guest who booked well in advance, I expected professional service and integrity, both of which were absent in this arrangement. I request a formal explanation regarding the "water damage" incident and a proper reconciliation for the significant downgrade and inconvenience we endured.

Very noisy a lot of construction going on

Great hotel in a great location . The rooftop bar is the best place for drinks and views over the lake.

Over priced small room and patio for rooftop room was full of dying plants. Other than good location and modern amenities and clean.

Good place for a night in Zurich. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and they have a ‘family room’ with connecting rooms. Front desk was nice. We interacted with several concierge personnel, some were more helpful than others. Some really needed to be in another industry hence the 1 less star.

Good location, room setup very efficient, good lighting and mood selection. Restaurant la Rotisserie is impeccable for food and service.

Rooms with a view of the river are on the small side but very nice. Excellent location. That is the hotel in the background.

Room was okay. I’m-room amenities were not exactly to the standard we were hoping for: pillows need updating. AC was not strong, bed was not very comfortable. Room was small for price (though it is Europe, understand the size but not for the price), food/drink in-room was just okay. Was not a fan of the light system in the rooms: either all lights are on or none at all. Wish we could turn on individual lights. No dimming of lights either which was disappointing. Hotel itself was great. Location amazing. Staff were VERY nice but surprised not as knowledgeable about where to go or recommendations (concierge) which is a reason we stay at 5star. Ultimately a nice hotel that felt 4star in many aspects.

Breakfast was amazing along with the location and service
